I read this article today on Yahoo about what the Pope thinks of the internet. I just about fell out of my chair laughing. He’s hardly informed enough to even make an opinion about the internet. Here is the article: Pope Says Internet ‘Wonderful’ but Needs Regulating

My favorite quote from this article is this one:

“The Pope warned that not only did the Internet allow the spread of depraved material, it could also lead people to believe that facts mattered more than values.”

Imagine that! People actually having rational thoughts. Shouldn’t “good values” be based on facts?

I’ve started a search for my birth family so that I can get medical information, actually I started this search some time ago but just haven’t taken the time to finish it. It seems to be a dead end anyway. My birthmother and birthfather are divorced now so it makes it more complicated. I’m not sure how to tactfully phrase everything I need to say. I don’t want to be rude because I greatly appreciate what she did, giving me up to my parents was the best thing possible. I’ve never really thought about my birthfather oddly enough, frankly I don’t care about him and I’m not curious at all about him. I guess I will have to send him a letter as well asking for medical information. I don’t want to ruin these people’s lives but I need medical information.

I was reading this essay today:Existential Risks: Analyzing Human Extinction Scenarios and Related Hazards. It discusses some interesting things related to the end of humans as we know ourselves to be. I thought it was very interesting.

In love, you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.. always. It’s comprehension of the past - not condemnation - that neutralizes insecurity. But can we as humans truly do that?

I was leaving this morning at about 6:30 AM to go to the gym and much to my surprise my cell phone fell out of my handbag and went under my car. I didn’t realize it had fallen out until I ran over it with the car! I’ve never destroyed a cell phone before, it was pretty funny. So, I get another new cell phone, joke’s on me.
