Since the talk of the US seems to be the Pledge, I thought I’d address it in the way I see best. America is all torn up over having the words “Under God” in the pledge. I really must wonder why we have this as the biggest topic of discussion in society, the papers, tv, etc. We have an economic crisis going on, a war in Afghanistan, terrorists living in the US, a Russia/China alliance that challenges some major US interests, and what we care about is “Under God?” We can’t put one thing in there to make everyone happy so just put “Under Satan” and piss everyone off. Next issue.
Here’s another issue that people can talk about. Postal Inspectors, you know, the guys that drive around trying to find out who put the notecard in your mailbox that says “Will mow lawn for $10″, they are allowed to carry guns on planes, as are Smithsonian curators, Agriculture inspectors, and some park service employees, but are pilots? Umm, no. Well, that’s enough of that for today. ![]()
