I am back from Mexico! I survived, yay! I went to Cancun (bleh), Tulum, Xel-ha, Xcaret, Valladolid, Chichen-Itza, Coba, and traveled to many various places in Quintana Roo and the Yucatan. The trip was extremely interesting and unusual. Brian and I successfully dodged stray Mexicans who ran out in the “highway” and also tour buses that drive around upwards of 140 km per hour. I will post pictures in a week or two when I get them developed. I saw many great Mayan ruins that were quite interesting. Some of the archaeological sites we saw were overrun with tourists, like Chichen-Itza. I also was able to spend the Mexican Independence Day in Valladolid and that was very interesting. The actual festival lasted for days, it was quite bizarre. More on my trip later…
I am now in Ohio with Brian and we are looking for a place to live. That should be interesting… I should be back in Atlanta by the 29th because I have a flower show, yay.
