Since the weather was so nice today we decided to go for a short hike. Also, I am feeling much better and thought I could handle some light exercise. We embarked on a short little one mile hike and it was cute and easy so we drove to another park area and decided to go on what we thought was another easy little one mile loop trail. The sign said “1 mile loop” but what it really should have said is “10 mile (or more) loop of mud and general grossness through boring woods near a lake.” So, we hiked on that trail for over two hours through mud and other grossness. Our shoes were soaked and nasty and so were our legs and clothes. Finally, we realized that the trail was not one mile nor were we even heading back to where we started. So, Brian investigated another trail and it ended up going to a road. We followed the road (and saw old people so we knew they must have parked close to where they were) for about a mile and we finally found the park entrance and the car. We got in the car and I vowed to find the park ranger and teach them about properly calculating mileage on trails and also about properly marking trails, not to mention what a trash clean-up day is… Brian did find this neat little green Indian figure on the trail. It looks sort of like a neon green GI Joe. I am interested to see if it glows in the dark…

Day One of Gallbladder Cleanse

This is day one of my gallbladder/gallstone cleanse. I am going to be drinking only apple juice and water for the next four days…fun. I suppose that is fine with me anyway since it is too painful to eat any kind of solid food. Hopefully, I will feel completely better after day four. More updates to come (on other things besides my gallbladder cleansing/fasting). ;)

Today, we went to visit my grandmother at her retirement home. We even ate lunch with her… Eating lunch with her is never enjoyable when you have to eat at the retirement home. I think Brian was somewhat horrified by the menu and by the strange people there. My grandmother kept insisting that we wanted a cat and that I want to join a garden club in Ohio. We do not like cats and I do not wish to join an Ohioan garden club…but that makes little difference because that is inconsistent with what she wants. She also wants all my roses from my parents yard. She even insists that the roses are hers, which I find interesting.

On a better note, we went to Little Five Points today and bought some interesting books from a strange little used bookstore. Next, we are planning to visit the oldest feminist bookstore in Atlanta to look around…

We just got back from Amicalola Falls and Dahlonega (site of first real gold rush in the US). We had a great time looking at the falls and driving around seeing rural Georgia. Brian had never seen the rural south so that was interesting…

I just finished doing some spring cleaning of the yard for my parents. They seriously need to just fill the yard with concrete or move. I hate seeing all my plants and hard work ruined by their sloppy yard maintenance skills. I know it is not my house anymore but they are so lazy sometimes…

Brian is currently snoring while listening to an enlightenment CD. I am not sure how much enlightenment is going on… ;)

We are in Georgia at my parents house. I am glad to see my parents and we are having an OK time or at least I am… We set up a garage sale to get rid of a lot of random things I had stored at my parents house. It will be good to get rid of all of that stuff but it will also be annoying to have to extrovert with a bunch of idiots that wish to pay two cents for something marked as sixty dollars. I will be updating quite a bit of the site over the next week or so. I plan to update the writings section, do something with the reading and movie section and Brian will also have the right to post on the website. Also, I will probably update the pictures section and add some wedding pictures as well as random vacation pictures.

The site is finally back up and running. I will be adding much awaited content and writing much much more and also updating very often. Even though we plan on traveling most of the summer I will update anyway. We are going to GA this weekend and some of next week to visit my parents during Brian’s spring break. Tonight, we are eating at the very scary Korean restaurant that is behind a tattoo/skateboard shop and literally is a “hole in the wall.” This should be interesting…if we do not die.

I have successfully switched webhosts. Yay. Much has happened since the last time I posted… Brian’s dissertation proposal was accepted so we made an unexpected trip to Tampa, FL where we frolicked on the beach, sat in Tampa traffic, and spent four days in the car for one day of fun. It was great…and tiring.

We are moving to Hawaii after Brian finishes getting his PhD. We plan to move to the Big Island of Hawai’i. Yay for warm and sunny weather year round…not to mention the volcanoes, extreme climates, and lack of people.

Our business is taking off and we are excited to be making hypnosis, binaural beat, and subliminal message CDs. Starting another company feels good, especially when we can control how much business we want to do…
