*Update*

We are currently moving to our new two bedroom place just three blocks from the ocean in Hilo. We are very excited and happy to be moving even though Brian’s cousin and her husband were nice enough to let us live in their home in Waimea for free for two months. We really appreciated that time to find our own home on the island.

I am working with disabled people and Brian will be working at UH. He is also writing his book on Hawaiian sovereignty. I will be going back to school to get my master’s degree in Environmental Science and I just accepted a research position with the Saratoga Foundation (a UN think-tank) to begin writing several papers on the impact of the environment on women in Brazil. Things are going really well here and we are thrilled to be here…

We are also exhausted and ready to be within walking distance of the ocean, farmer’s market, and places we like to go, not to mention both of our jobs. I have been commuting over 110 miles per day for work…yuck.

Three police cars just came tearing up through the neighborhood to come beat on our door with a flashlight to tell us to move our truck off the neighborhood street. Only three people live on this street right now. One lady lives at the top of the street and is super nice, if she had a problem she would have called. The other people are these wretched Oregonians that live across the street. Everyone else only lives here part-time and they are not here. The Oregonians have these awful dogs that bark all day and night. We are going to start reporting them each and every time those dogs bark.

Anyway, back to the story… The donut chaser, I mean cops, pulled up, and then the rude and nasty haole obese porker of a cop told us to move our car. I said, “Did someone complain?” I was very surprised as no one had said anything… So, I said, no problem, we will move it. Then he starts into this tirade about what happens if I don’t move the vehicle and this is while I am walking towards the car to move it!!! IDIOT. So, I get in the truck and they give me NO room to back up the vehicle so I had to pull it in at a weird angle and then that caused tons of trouble concerning the movement of the other vehicles, etc. At any rate, this follows yesterday’s story in the paper titled, “Crime down on the Big Island except Rape is Up 100%” so these donut chasers were over here in droves (probably the WHOLE Waimea department) for a stinking parking violation and most likely, somewhere in Waimea some woman was being raped or who knows what else.

I do not like this country, it is despicable and disgusting and the way it has imposed itself on the Kingdom of Hawai’i is horrific at best. With all the drug, rape, and family abuse problems this island has you would think they would find something better to do with their time then to come over here and be caustic and threatening to us. Jerks.

I have zero respect for authority, especially when so called authority figures have done nothing to earn my respect and only try to demand authority by being small and threatening others. That is just nasty and these officers are without aloha.
