I was in a similar situation - my grandmother gave me her old Bernina too and it was full of bells and whistles that I had no idea how to use. When I moved I had to get rid of it and now I have a more basic Singer machine and it is a fun machine to use but I actually wish that it had more bells and whistles. But I do have an industrial serger & industrial machine sitting in my studio that I have no idea what to do with...
