Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Brian and I went to the first showing of the latest Harry Potter movie and we really enjoyed it. It was definitely a darker movie with less *fun* magic and more defensive magic… Brian said he liked this movie the best compared to the previous movies. It was definitely shorter and more condensed but also more to the point about Voldemort’s return. The end of the movie was a big “duh” as Cornelius Fudge essentially realizes Voldemort is back - you know, when he is standing right in front of his face.

Elaine and I went to see Transformers last night. Pretty good for a summer blockbuster, but we managed to show up at the theater almost an hour before the show started. Silly Google and their movie times… Anyway, we had the opportunity to people watch, as the crowd for Harry Potter gathered in the lobby. If you remember the AMC Parkway Point 15 in Vinings, you recall it had a pretty large lobby. There were a bunch of people dressed up in costume. It was pretty entertaining actually. We’re going to wait to see it at the end of the month, so as the hype will die down. That and I still have to see the 2nd and 3rd movie.
