A. Katy.

A. Not really, however, I occasionally chat with old friends on Yahoo (katy568847) and AIM (cateragirl99).

A. None. My personal political philosophy is very progressive and change-oriented.
Q. What is your favorite color and why?
A. I really prefer black and white. Color is too confining - what a boring question.

Q. Where do you live?
A. I live in Hawaii on the Big Island of Hawaii. It is great here. Do not move here.
Q. What kind of job do you have?
A. I am a designer of resort wear. For the record, no, I do not design clothing for waifs with eating disorders.
Q. Do you speak any foreign languages?
A. My linguistic skills have become very poor since I married Brian. However, I retain at least a passing familiarity with Greek, Japanese, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian. I am so-so on Italian, French, and Esperanto. I am still fluent in Latin and English. We are currently learning Chinese.
Q. Are you a vegetarian?
A. Yes. I am a lacto-vegetarian and so is Brian. We like cheese.
Q. What are your hobbies?
A. Reading! But I also like to snorkel, bodyboard, hike, and do a variety of activities that are easy to enjoy when you live in Hawaii. I enjoy horticulture but more specifically, I enjoy exhibiting in flower shows, arranging flowers, attending various plant society meetings, hydroponics, experimental growing techniques, organic gardening, and gardening in general - I have not done much of this lately. I specifically enjoy Orchids, Roses, and tropicals. I enjoy art, opera, theater, music, and foreign films - which I have little opportunity to see living in Hawaii (other than music, that is). My favorite areas of interest are women’s studies/feminism, astronomy, physics, mathematics, philosophy, existentialism, psychology, ecology, politics, economics, mythology, literature, technology, etc. I adore reading and writing a great deal. I enjoy reading books from most every genre and I am always open to suggestions for reading material.

A. A. I live in a house in a small village across the street from the ocean.

A. No. I am not a believer in any religion.

A. I listen to mostly classical, opera, jazz, and new age. I also have been known to listen to Progressive. I also play the viola.
