I will try to work on the website this evening. It appears to be number 26 on my To-Do list for the day. I will get around to it… On a more exciting note (for me), my other humidity trays have arrived. I have already set them up and all the orchids are doing well. Now, I am off to accomplish number 7 and beyond on the To-Do list.
Addendum: After accomplishing number 7 on my To-Do list, which was to go through the flower books my grandmother sent me, I have come across two interesting titles “Beef” and “Flowers and Symbols for the Christian Year: New Trends in Decorations for Church, Home, and Flower Show.” I guess I should cook a beef dinner before I go off to church. She tells everyone that I am a Methodist anyway. They are going to hell because they are not Baptists and do not believe in her God. Apparently, I am exempt from hell because I know her. Go figure. All you have to do to stay out of the Christian hell is to know my grandmother. I guess it is important to have the latter book in case a flower show decides to open up a division for casket arrangements and pulpit arrangements. I will then make it easy on myself and provide an atheistic interpretation.
This book also tells me how to make “secular arrangements.” I was not aware that plants had religious affiliation… I need to stay away from the fundamental plants.

I think doing all of this horticulture stuff is like a career in itself that does not pay. I only have a few free days this whole month where I am not going to some flower show or some flower society meeting. I also have all these volunteer projects that I am involved with in Atlanta. To top it off, I am around a bunch of old women ALL the time. I think I must be the youngest garden club member to date. The next youngest woman is in her mid sixties. Try being an atheist amongst a bunch of women who have never questioned the existence of God in their lives. They all go to ________ First Baptist Church. The kicker is the fact that everyone I come in contact with knows me through my grandmother. I also have this expectation to live up to because of the legacy that she created. She was the flower show queen. She is a master gardener, a Rosarian, she has won thousands of ribbons and trophies for the last 50 years. She was a world renowned judge of flower shows. She cannot grow an orchid to save her life though. I am starting to become known for my orchid growing. I think by branching out into Orchids I will separate myself from her legacy. I will be displaying my first orchid for the upcoming flower show this month. I will take pictures and post them.

A bad Christian didn’t listen to his Sunday School lesson. I was informed just now that an Atheist is one who believes in God. Apparently, this also makes me a Christian. Here I was thinking that someone who believes in a single deity was a monotheist. Oh what an idiot I am. Since I am stupid, perhaps I should become an evangelist. What a wonderful idea. An atheist evangelist. Oh wait, that has been done. Oh poo.
