I am working towards a launch tomorrow of Katy Johnson Resort Wear. I currently just have a few additional things to do - setting up the payment information and also finishing up pictures and some inventory related things (like sorting through the hundreds of flip flops I have). I am excited. Things are moving along nicely… Now, I only have to get my advertising campaign ready to go ASAP.
I actually helped my Dad work through his internet related woes this evening and the venture was successful. We did not even butt heads in the 1.5 hour long phone call. Hooray. The ENTJ and INTJ can get along, it would seem.

I stayed up all night working on my business website. I am utterly exhausted. I tried to stay awake with caffeine [Diet Coke] which I now dislike with a passion. Never one to really drink soft drinks I must say that drinking enough to stay awake was a rather disgusting experience.
At any rate, my plans to work on my business website were foiled numerous times. First, the ZenCart template was horrible and continued to not do what it should do based on the code. But it appeared that the custom template was making calls to other pages that were inconsistent with what is typical. So, I had to scrap that. I moved on to osCommerce but it was lacking in features compared to ZenCart (it’s sister cart) and I had a number of other problems that I had with ZenCart. Finally, I settled on CubeCart - which I had actually dealt with long ago and did not have a problem with it. It is less robust than ZenCart but that’s not necessarily a bad thing - especially when I am crazy from lack of sleep. Fortunately, I actually have the website operational. I just need to add the stock and photos of the products then I will be ready. I suspect everything will be [properly] finished by tomorrow. I would hate to launch when I am crazy from lack of sleep.
In retrospect, I realize now that I am just too old to pull all-nighters like I used to do as almost everynight.

For the first time in many months all of my email has been answered and attended to and I have nothing - absolutely nothing - in my inbox. Today has been extraordinarily hectic to say the least. I had a bushel of emails to answer, 140 lbs of fabric being delivered, a seamstress with a broken sewing machine who needed to use my not so great sewing machine, a seamstress dropping off bags, a seamstress attempting to sew bags after showing up really really late when I had an appointment to go to, a hair appointment, a purchase of a new sewing machine, website work, and other things I cannot even remember.
The sewing machine that I bought is a Brother with an onboard computer. It does a number of fancy stitches that might come in handy for something. More importantly it is all computerized and handles a myriad of details so that I do not have to think about them.
My seamstress got absolutely nothing done today. She sat in my office and yapped and I got almost nothing done except for a few emails. She also brought her son who was loud and obnoxious. I seriously don’t need that in my office.
At least tomorrow I can watch two uninterrupted hours of Sherlock Holmes (The Hound of the Baskervilles) - that will be a welcome relief.
But tonight, we will do our regular workout of pain after this exhausting day.

…That’s all I ever do. At least I enjoy it! I have been working with a new PR & Marketing firm in Atlanta instead of the terrible PR/Marketing people I had spoken with in LA. I was unable to find a Hawaii based PR firm that worked with people in fashion. I have promised to drag Brian to fabric buying shows open only to the trade. I think he is just happier about the location of these shows as opposed to actually going with me. I have a lot of bags being sewn right now and a ton more in development. I need an assistant desperately. It will be rather hard to find one here on the Big Island but we will see… My migraines are picking up - it is probably directly correlated with my workload.
Brian and I have been spending more time in the ocean. He has actually been having fun snorkeling but he has yet to try bodyboarding. Maybe next time around he will give it a try… Brian’s parents are coming in July for his birthday - hopefully we should be able to all go snorkeling and maybe I can catch a few waves at some point.
Too many thoughts are currently going through my head - more later!

I have been incredibly busy for a number of reasons. I am launching my handbag line literally *right now* and have been extremely busy hiring people and working with fabric and designing bags. Also, I visited my family in Georgia and attended to a few business related things while there. Brian and I have also been doing more outdoor activities. He’s been doing water activities with me lately and we are having a lot of fun. I body boarded some treacherous shore break two weeks ago and that was fun. Brian and I went snorkeling at Kahalu’u Beach Park in Kona and we both had a blast. I prefer the reef when the water is deeper but I think it was better for him - he prefers it when it is more shallow. Everything fun on this island is pretty much free or dirt cheap - it’s great.
I have been reading Sherlock Holmes lately so Brian and I also started watching the Sherlock Holmes series from the 1980’s - what a fabulous series. I highly recommend it (The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes). Sherlock Holmes is supposed to be a textbook INTJ - it is interesting. Brian thinks Holmes is great and he would be friends with him. This makes sense since Brian is attracted to INTJs. I, however, dislike every INTJ I’ve come in contact with and prefer to read things written by them or see/read things that star an INTJ. While I like watching Holmes and reading about him I know that I would dislike him profusely if I knew him in person. INTJs do seem to dislike one another as a rule…

It has been a very long time since I updated. My handbag line is about to debut and my bags are soon going to be plastered all over the internet and in stores! I am thrilled…
I am going to GA on Sunday for business and to visit family - should be fun…
More later…

Yay, my new bedspread and drapes arrived from Calico Corners today.
I was looking through all of my handbags today and I realized that I own some bizarre looking handbags. No one cares, moving on…
At UGA, people were wearing red today to protest the removal of “Kudzu Hill;” it is a well-known drinking area just outside the baseball field. UGA wants to develop the land and thusly they have already banned drinking on the land. I am not sure why this is a reason to protest…
Why should former Baath party officials be working in the new Iraqi government? The US seeks to destroy the Baath party, which they make out to be similar to the Nazi party, yet the thought is there to allow some of them back into the current government. Something is fishy… Click here to read about it.
Weird Al’s parents died! Read about it here.
I was speaking to Dan after he arrived home from a concert at the Tabernacle and I remembered all the bad experiences I had at that place. Last year, when I went with Dan to the Pretenders concert, some woman was sitting on my leg. Can people not confine their rears to their own seat? Every woman that sat down in the seat next to me was spilling over into *my* seat. I take a Libertarian approach to seating. My rear is confined to X space and your rear should be confined to Y space but never XY space unless some sort of agreement has been reached.
