*Update*
We are currently moving to our new two bedroom place just three blocks from the ocean in Hilo. We are very excited and happy to be moving even though Brian’s cousin and her husband were nice enough to let us live in their home in Waimea for free for two months. We really appreciated that time to find our own home on the island.
I am working with disabled people and Brian will be working at UH. He is also writing his book on Hawaiian sovereignty. I will be going back to school to get my master’s degree in Environmental Science and I just accepted a research position with the Saratoga Foundation (a UN think-tank) to begin writing several papers on the impact of the environment on women in Brazil. Things are going really well here and we are thrilled to be here…
We are also exhausted and ready to be within walking distance of the ocean, farmer’s market, and places we like to go, not to mention both of our jobs. I have been commuting over 110 miles per day for work…yuck.

We are moving to a new 3 bedroom apartment today. The smoke smell was too much to take. Fun…moving in 20 degree weather.

We got our 15 lb. medicine ball in the mail today, yay! We are having great fun with arm plyometrics despite my wearing a wrist splint in order to prevent further CTS related damage.
Because I am wearing a wrist splint during the day and while I sleep, it is difficult to do some tasks. One of those tasks is flossing my teeth, so, I used this weird flosser that Brian had in the medicine cabinet (because it is easier to use…it has a handle), especially since they had his endorsement. He said, “They work great!” After I flossed half of my mouth, I got the flosser stuck in between two teeth. So, I walked into the office where he was and said, “How are these good?” And he informed me that I must be the only person to ever get the flosser stuck in their teeth. Indeed, it was stuck and it was not going anywhere. Brian then had the pleasure of cutting it out of my mouth. Joy. Then I used regular floss, so I would not have to have anymore flossers cut from my mouth.
We went walking outside tonight and went to the Wetlands Observation tower at the OSU Wetlands Research Center and we saw a big garbage bag full of something (which we suspect to be a homeless guy) and the remnants of his fast food dinner. That was the second time we had seen a homeless person up there. At least we think it was a homeless person in the trash bag…
We have finally ordered our moving boxes for our big move in December. Brian is finishing up his dissertation and is doing weird Mars research. I am busy with random business things, web design for our businesses, and selling things on eBay. Also, we are continuing to train everyday. I am training for the Strongwoman competitions and Brian is training for all kinds of running. We are having a lot of fun too!

The weird South American single man with no apparent friends or family moved out several months ago. His cooking smells were horrid but he was very quiet. It seems we have a new neighbor next door now. He is a college age guy that appears to have no friends and we hope it stays that way. He does, however, have cable internet. Hopefully, this means that he stays home enough to substantiate the cost of having broadband. He also has his TV on almost constantly. We hear it everytime we leave the apartment. He reminded Brian of “Jimmy Jet and his TV Set” by Shel Silverstein. However, outside of that, he seems to be almost silent. This is a good thing… His family helped him move in and our eyes nearly exploded after we had to look at his shirtless father whose chest hair resembled a large male gorilla…

I have successfully switched webhosts. Yay. Much has happened since the last time I posted… Brian’s dissertation proposal was accepted so we made an unexpected trip to Tampa, FL where we frolicked on the beach, sat in Tampa traffic, and spent four days in the car for one day of fun. It was great…and tiring.
We are moving to Hawaii after Brian finishes getting his PhD. We plan to move to the Big Island of Hawai’i. Yay for warm and sunny weather year round…not to mention the volcanoes, extreme climates, and lack of people.
Our business is taking off and we are excited to be making hypnosis, binaural beat, and subliminal message CDs. Starting another company feels good, especially when we can control how much business we want to do…

The more and more I think about it, I really want to move to Italy. I want to be away from everyone and everything that has caused me pain. I want to start over again fresh and have a new chance at a new life. I want to be away from the hypocrisy pit I live in. Sure, Italy is a hypocrisy pit as well but frankly I don’t care. It’s not dirty and nasty like the US. I’m so unhappy here.

I just fixed myself a dinner! I actually cooked! I made Mushroom and Thyme Rice. I’m so proud, I’m all by myself and I cooked.
Today, I went house looking again with the parental units because they need a new house, as do I, so I shall be looking after they have a house. They decided on this kewl lot in this undeveloped neighborhood in Acworth. They made me look at floorplans all day and many more yet to look at. It’s been hard for them to find a house or lot since the move from the house in Vinings. We moved out of a 10,000 square foot house plus a 5,000 sq. ft. basement that was partially finished. Now they think they are going to squeeze all the stuff into a 5,000 sq. ft. ranch house with a basement. I think that’s going to be funny when they find out the stuff won’t fit but they are in denial. My dad says getting rid of me freed up a good 5,000 sq ft.
Looking at floorplans with my parents is a pain in the ass. My dad says anything with a 4 car garage and a boat door with a basement and a study with a restroom is perfect. It could be the ugliest atrocity to man and he’d still love it. My mom on the other hand is extra picky. I believe the architect has his work cut out for him. She keeps thinking I’m going to move in with them, she wants me to anyway. There will be no room for me! Then I will have to look for a house that is within my price range and will still be large enough to house my furniture. I think my furniture which my parents bought for me as a Xmas gift was really a plot to keep me from moving out. That bed is like 10 ft long, the dresser is like 7 ft long, the other dresser is not huge but big enough that when they moved the furniture in we had to buy a new door for my room and it’s all heavy as lead. They have all my furniture now, when I moved I bought a bunch of contemporary furniture that I will be moving to the office soon, of course now I basically live in my office with a bed
