I am working towards a launch tomorrow of Katy Johnson Resort Wear. I currently just have a few additional things to do - setting up the payment information and also finishing up pictures and some inventory related things (like sorting through the hundreds of flip flops I have). I am excited. Things are moving along nicely… Now, I only have to get my advertising campaign ready to go ASAP.
I actually helped my Dad work through his internet related woes this evening and the venture was successful. We did not even butt heads in the 1.5 hour long phone call. Hooray. The ENTJ and INTJ can get along, it would seem.

I finally got my sound to work by some small miracle. Alsa is cracked out and I had to do a whole bunch of crap to get it to work. YaST was of no help… I nearly peed in my pants when it finally *did* work it was so incredibly loud. I ended up using gamix (GTK alsa mixer) and it finally got the settings just right. The sound is decent enough and I am just happy to have it now.
Earlier, my mouse was going insane. Ahh, the trials and tribulations of a GUI. My SuSE machine is now great…

Brian and I got up very early this morning so he could catch his 6:43 AM flight to Honolulu so he could go to LA. Even though it is only 10:42 it is already a long day! My fasting diet (whatever it is) is making me ill and tired. I am not sure why but I continue to drink lots of water and green tea.
One should not tinker with Linux when they are exhausted and ill. I accidentally (OK, on purpose because I was not paying attention) deleted a number of packages that relied on alsa because I decided to reinstall alsa (what was I thinking?)… Fortunately, I realized what I was doing and had to fix everything via the fail-safe command line (GNOME was not even usable - go me). Now, I am still trying to correct everything AND fix my stupid sound. I still don’t understand why the sound is being such a bear…
